What is Futsal?

FUTSAL is the FIFA approved version of Indoor Soccer. Learning the skills required for this game will improve your overall soccer skills at a much faster rate. Why is it that Brazilians Argentineans, the Spanish and French all seem to be able to play soccer at a higher level? The answer is that they all play Futsal when young. As a game it places considerable demand on technique, movement, tactical awareness and fitness. Because Futsal is a great skill developer, demanding quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pinpoint passing, it is an exciting game for children and a great way to develop all round Soccer skills.

Our philosophy is to teach the kids in a positive happy environment where they will not feel threatened or put down. We encourage the kids to try things and use positive reinforcement to help them develop as players and people. We are an inclusive club where all children are welcome.

Our methods are based on the latest teachings from Spain, Argentina and Brazil.

 We will be teaching all the skills required to play a high standard of Futsal. Children interested in playing competitions will be placed in teams and entered into competitions as they arise.

Who are the Cobras?

Cobras Futsal Club was established in the Inner northeast suburbs of Melbourne for players who want to play and learn Futsal at a higher level than is experienced at social competitions.

Our philosophy is one of teaching all elements of Futsal in a friendly non threatening way. All players are given equal attention with the elite players having a greater part to play in competitions. We try and give all our players the experience of competing at the Melbourne Futsal League. Our emphasis is to mix winning with opportunity.
